I`ve been shopping for tires the last few days and it seems a lot of places don`t carry this size. Is there something else I can switch to? 160,000 on my old gal and she is still like new.

Toyota used some small tires on their trucks back in the day those are pretty much trailer tires. If you go to Discount Tire an put in your truck info it will give you some other options probably bigger tires. They dont make very many 225x75 r15s that my truck came off the line with is use 235x75s or 31x10.50s now and they are widely available

also use the link that @Clearwater Bill supplied for the tire calc. could probably due 215/70 (miniscule decrease)

I bought my truck new and it came with the 205`s and that is what is on the door sticker. It is a 2wd. Would a larger rim fit the on the existing lugs and would it work okay?

larger rims will fit, you just have to get the correct ones, or have the center bored out a bit

Gen1 Tacoma has 5x114.3mm (5x4.5") and I believe it's a 67.1mm hub (larger than 2nd gen and future Toyota cars)
