I was recently in Gearhart and saw a few people driving a tad fast. The max speed you can drive on an Oregon beach, unless posted lower, is 25 mph.

    ORS 811.111(1)(c)
    (c) Drives a vehicle or conveyance on any part of the ocean shore in this state at a speed greater than any of the following:

    (A) Any designated speed for ocean shores that is established and posted under ORS 810.180.

    (B) If no designated speed is posted under ORS 810.180, 25 miles per hour.

So when you're trying to get back to town, tone it down and don't race around, okay?

They need to post it - I saw a Tesla driving ONTO that beach and they must have been going 60+

They don't post it because it encourages those idiots who don't know how to drive on sand to attempt it, get themselves stuck, and call the local fire department to get them back on the pavement where they belong. Believe me, I've done it more times than I care to count!
