Here is my Tacoma the day I bought it.One of my first mods was to replace the standard Sport wheel center caps with the TRD center caps. Major transformation with a simple change. Pictures don't show the actual difference.6.jpg 7.jpg
The second was to create a low profile way to mount items to the dash. I settled on the "Taco Garage" Dashtop Multi Mount.5.jpg

    This went in this weekend:
I wanted an off road GPS. Researched a lot on different forums and YouTube. For my use , I settled on the Garmin OverLander. Used the DMM mount to install a Ram Ball.
    10.jpg
This attached to the Magnetic mounting Base for the Garmin. Charge power is through a hard wired connection from a accessory circuit that is on when the truck accessories or truck is on.

You can also see my start of the install of the FT-891 HF Rig and ID-4100 two meter and 440 Radio. I cover them in the next few posts.

This week's mod was to change out the Sport Grill
    11.jpg
for the Pro Grill and Raptor led's.
    12.jpg
I installed the lights in the traditional style of just three led's.

It always brings me some comfort knowing that there are other sport owners out there taking pride in their sports.

Finally decided on how I wanted to mount my antennas for the radios. Use to I never thought twice about drilling a hole in a car for an antenna etc. I guess my thoughts have changed. For me the mounts below are super strong and do not involve any holes to the truck. All can be removed with no evidence of sort. Also retains full use of the Tocoma hard bed cover.

The brackets for the install are repurposed bed rack riser brackets.

This is the bed rail bracket mounted.

Here is the completed install on the drivers side. This will be the Larsen NMO270 for the Two Meter / 440 Radio. I started to cut the bracket down while I was milling the second piece to fit so that it would be just wide enough for the antenna mount. While pondering I remembered I had a set of Rigid Industries LED Side shooter flood Lights. So why not add them to the back of the bracket for rear facing floods with a little bit of side lighting. Heck, gives me an excuse to add another switch for something in the cab.

The wiring is not complete as of yet. I can cut the bracket height another 2" to gain a little lower profile. I will give it thought over the weekend before I finish the wiring on this side.
