Thought it was time to start a build thread for my tacoma that I bought in February of this year.

Here it is as I bought it:

    The stats:

    2008 Access cab, 6ft bed
    2TR-FE 4cyl engine, 5spd Manual
    98,500 miles
Stock other than a leer fiberglass topper.

The first "mod" I added was the trailgate from AL offroad. Replacing the tailgate panel with a smooth surface for cooking, working on things, just plain setting things down has been so convenient. This is one of the few things I would put in the "must buy" category for every truck. Here's the before and after:

I also added some lighting and replaced the grille, and I like how the front end turned out. Before Front End.jpg After Front End.jpg

TRD PRO grille with raptor lights is from tacomalifestyle. The bulb seal especially requires some work to get right, but I'm happy with the result.

The fog light kit is from caliraised, and I'm super happy with it. I also got the brackets for the bumper light bar from them, and all of these parts work great and were super easy to install.

TRD badge is from Amazon. Yeah, I'm that guy now but hey, it was 10 bucks and looks cool.

Couple of smaller things I did before my trip to Montana for GFC install...

Husky floorliners - Good price, super nice upgrade
Stereo upgrade from crutchfield - Couple hundred bucks but having carplay and navigation was so worth it.
Sold the Leer topper to make room for the GFC of course!

Install time! Super cool experience with the guys at GFC, definitely worth checking out if you're ever in the Bozeman area.

The truck and camper in all their glory...

    Camper.jpg

The whole reason I bought the truck was for the GFC, so having the two was very exciting. On the way to Montana I got a flat tire, probably because I tried to put off replacing them until after the trip. So I got some new tires while I was in Bozeman. I decided on the Falken Wildpeak AT3W, was looking for 265/70/16 but ended up with 245/75/16. However, I love the tires and they have been great for almost 15,000 miles now.
