I just install my Morimotos and does the fitment of these looks a little off? If any of you have Morimotos please share. The Morimotos were put on my 2022 Trd OR.

Known albeit minor issue. Mine have a slight gap too. Lots of feedback on this topic in their official review thread

I noticed that you have a string or thread on top of the headlight (looks like it's under the glass?)

I have gen 1 of XB here which you see it in my avatar to the left of this post.

I plan to remove them as soon as I get new ones delivered.

I have the same gap as well. I ended up inserting some washers to fill in the gap where the mounting holes are, and it seemed to have help pull the housing up.

I tried to see if you can really close this gap, and I don’t think you can. The housing is being held in place by the bumper, and pulling it up more shows gap at the bottom instead. In theory there should not be any gaps as this was laser scanned, but it’s there.

It’s very minimal and someone would never notice unless they were told about it. My pro headlights have a similar gap. I’d be more worried about that fender and hood not lining up…

All you have to do is turn the rubber bump by the headlight and the hood will line up.

I’m curious why you went with Morimoto over the OEM LED enclosures. Was there a huge price gap?

To be honest I liked Morimoto because it had the Amber Drl but once I installed the backlight for my diode dynamics I think I got too much amber going on. Lol I am looking to find some Oem led headlights though.

I like them. But I wish I could compare them to the Oem led headlights.

I was going to get oem led. Even purchased the wiring harness for an SR5 from @Puppypunter and was saving $ for a black friday deal. But then I came across a good deal on Morimotos from a local TW member and the rest was history.
