OK. I need some advice for the suspension upgrade on my 2021 Tacoma.

I want to go with 34" tires as 285/75/17 and new wheels.

I'm building an overlanding rig but I'm not sure how much I want to spend. I'm fine spending up to $35k but I think I want to do it in stages.

I asked the shop to give me three basic quotes for basic ,medium, and heavy duty.

My immediate goals are to run a RSI smart cap, decked system and rooftop tent.

But I might also want front and rear bumpers at some point and that's going to add even more weight.

    Any advice here?

I'm thinking of hedging and going for the "medium duty" option.

I'm not going to be doing HARD CORE offroading. It's mostly going to be medium to intermediate in terms of difficulty.

This is for me to drive around the US and Canada fishing and hunting and just enjoying the outdoors.

I've seen more issues with Toytec than usual lately, we're seeing weird breaks.

I'd be looking at a coil over that you can swap out the spring for a heavier one if needed. I can't recall if the foxes have upgraded spring choices. Most go bilstien, OME, or the new ironman.
