I know most of UT has a campfire ban right now, but when does that typically get lifted, at least to stage 1 where they allow propane fires?

I'm planning a backcountry trip for mid-late October but might push it to November if the fire ban is likely to be over by then. Can't find any reliable info elsewhere.

Western wildfire seasons seem to start earlier and last longer every year anymore.

On State land?? contact the state forestry/natural resources office nearest the spot

USFS land?? contact the USFS local office

BLM land?? contact the local BLM office

They should be the regulatory office(s) who are the correct authorities

PS: NOT trying to be a smartass about this, just trying to point you in the right direction

Campground fires are much more open and at least in Boulder this year we had a heavy monsoon. You should be able to find info on wherever you are going parks website. Generally you can find local fire restrictions.

Should be over by now but i remember CO burned all of last winter so its best to just check with the local unit.

also camping without a fire has its benefits
