Did you take your back bumper off to change the caps?

Purchased a used OEM tonneau cover yesterday and when I got it home, there was blue over spray on part of it. The previous owner had it in his garage and must of spray painted something near the cover.

I got out some rubbing alcohol and used some old fashion elbow grease and was able to remove it all. Then added some protectant since that removed it and made that area look faded.

Before: (if you look towards the drivers side closet to the back window you can see it.)

Black with the raised white letters is SAF. Gotta ditch that bumper chrome.

Thanks man. They ride smooth too. Happy with them so far. I don’t mind the chrome bumper caps. Kind of mixes it up a bit.

Installed Vleds floor lights to match the MESO map/dome lights. Side note: blew the dome fuse ‍♂️B77A828E-BEC9-4195-B600-DCCDD0AEFF44.jpg08E002D6-C4A1-4C07-9135-B6F49B826BE0.jpg

Finally got around to wiring up the side and rear lights on the CaliRaised LED Premium roof rack. I had my ditch lights wired to a remote from tractor supply (Traveler Brand) that had four outputs. Wired each side and rear to different buttons. That allows me to turn on/off one side or rear with the remote. The goal is that when walking out of the woods after a hunt (with the remote on me) I can turn on some lights around the truck to pack up. And when camping, I can turn the lights on/off from my tent if necessary.

that makes 2! Windshield took a rock hit this morning, non repairable, that's 2 "incident" this month. 1st less than 2 weeks ago, hit head on while parked in a parking lot $2100+ damage and now today $900+. Do they really come in 3's? Afraid of what might come next!

Added an 48" OPT7 led tailgate light bar.
It's not a legal 3rd brake light replacement but I think it's good enough. Better than nothing because there is no chance of me drilling holes in my soft top and wiring in some cheap little brake light.

I removed the double sided tape that they had installed and put on some velcro tape that way I can pull it off easily to get to the spare tire.
I already replaced my reverse bulbs with LEDs so I didn't bother wiring in the reverse lights to the bar.
The wiring was super simple using one of these trailer harness splitters.

Sad day, reverting back to stock. Planning on trading in the Tacoma for a GX460 due to a growing family.

Indeed! But at least the GX is still considered a "truck," and I can still have fun with some mods here and there.
