Well I don't know about those.. but everything is now $1.25 and the same at the Dollar Tree stores. Even the Walmarts raised the prices on Hot Wheels to $1.08 - the only place around here that's still under is Target at 95 cents

Man, y'all shop a lot...

I go to Aldi about twice a week, TSC about every two weeks to check the clearance stuff and The Mart about once a month.

Had a coach do that to me a couple of years ago. We got to the field and set our gear up and we’re starting some infield drills. He pulls up and came right to me and said “ I’m in the higher division and we need the field right now” I said the other field is open and no practice going on there today but he wasn’t having it. I just picked all my gear up and we moved to the other field. Watched him and he had 3 kids show up and they never even stepped foot onto the infield. :annoyed:
Next season we were in the same age division. I made sure every time we played him we gave it all just to beat him. :D Probably not the best to do with the kids but o well. He was not well liked by any of the parents and was asked not to coach again.

I was against coaching softball when asked but I did the first year as an assistant. I didn’t think I had the best patience but wasn’t too bad. I really enjoyed it and have coached every year since. I coach my daughters softball team. She’s 9. It it a good age to coach because when they slack off or don’t listen I just make them run. Your right with some parents just don’t care and it’s a hour they don’t have to watch their kids. I also helped coach the travel team we had this last summer. It was a blast and I am taking that over next season.
Also serve on the softball association board as I was tired of not being able to control some aspects of it. Best thing I have done and really enjoy help running the program.

Re poll. I usually only use them when I have to go to Walmart. Ours has about 20 regular registers with only 1 open. 6 self checkout and usually there isn’t anyone in line for them. When I go to raleys I let them scan. I usually don’t have to go to the store because the wife goes after work if we need something. Saves me from having to deal with people.

Dollar Tree is much different than DG. Much nicer store and clean with nothing in the aisles.

Those tellers are now doing my shopping.

I do our order on line, schedule a pick up time and my purchases magically are carted out to my vehicle.

I never get suckered into an impulsive purchase and if what ordered is not available, I'm automatically given the next better item at the original price.

In short, electronic tellers do not effect me. The only time I go into Walmart is to buy a hunting or fishing licence.

So true, i usually will throw down a few bucks for whatever but my wife refuses. *my wife will tip when the situation calls for it. Most often tho Flat out no, won't do it on principle. They try and shame you into feeling like you have to. It's double edged sword I reckon. I'm still waiting on the right tip pressure situation to arise and me to have the chance to say- "you want a tip? Don't piss into the wind" can't remember what movie that's from. Prolly wont ever say that, I'm not overtly rude.
I like that saying- you treat me good, I'll treat you better. You treat me bad, I'll treat you worse.

When getting subway at work, swipe debit it says tip, 15,20, or 25 %. Those are your 3 options. To tip less, you have to hit custom, whatever. That makes me want to tip less right there.

I think the pandemic turn the ‘tip’ process completely on its head.

Folks who continued to work with the public deserved a whole lot more than what they got.
