Something interesting about the auto up/down window switches from: https://cartrimhome.com/Door-Switch-For-Toyota-Tacoma-2012-2015?tracking=TacoOutlaw

I've had mine installed for probably a month or a little more and just noticed this yesterday.

On the driver's controls, if you have the windows "locked", none of the passenger windows will operate from any control, including driver's. Kinda dumb, and we've talked about that before...that's not the news.

    From driver's controls:
If, while the windows are locked, you push auto down or up, on any window...and THEN unlock the windows....that window will start down (or up) on it's own.

From the front passenger control (as the rears don't have the auto feature):
If, while the windows are locked, you push the auto down and then unlock the windows, it will also go down on it's own***....but...if you push (pull) the auto UP button and then unlock the windows, it won't do anything. A safety feature I assume.

*** I'm 99% sure I tried this and that's how it worked on the down operation. It definitely works as shown on the up operation...I remember that because it was different.

I'd like to be replacing my transmission cooler lines, filter, and gasket but I can't get my parts.

Anyone have experience with www.toyotapartsdeal.com? I ordered 15 days ago and the estimated delivery was 3-7 days. At this point the order still shows "processing". I've called three times to get updates and they just keep saying the "dealer" isn't responding, or the "dealer" isn't in. Then they push out the ETA another few days. Waited on hold today for 15 minutes and then they hung up on me. Called back and got a different person, both were rude and would not listen to me. NOT happy with this place.

Edit: Found a few other threads about them. Seems hit or miss. Some others had this same bad experience where they drag you along for weeks.

I would buy the cooler lines and end connectors from Oreillys. Quality materials and a helluva lot cheaper than Toyota. I would also check NAPA for the filter and gasket. The best prices and fastest delivery I have had, for direct Toyota parts, is with Hendrick Toyota of Apex NC and from Village Toyota in Florida. Blew away the competition on prices. You could be caught up in a supply chain issue. Another good vendor is partsgeek.com.

Out of curiosity, are the cooler lines rusted, is that why you are replacing them?

I ordered new u joints and started taking my drive shaft out today. Decided to go full OEM and do them all because "how often do you remove your drive shaft"....

    Waiting on parts

When I see this northern state rust I am so thankful I live in a moderate climate in SE Virginia. My 2008 looks new compared to this 2015. A friend from Wisconsin said growing up they drove them till the frames were shot and then parked them in a field behind the barn to rust away. Told me back then cars had a 7-10 year lifespan. I just can't imagine that.

i have a feeling mine are going to start looking like this soon. The fittings look just like that and the coating on the lines started to "splinter" off.

This is my Canadian based 2010. Rust proofed annually. Transmission pan is a few years old (stripped the original one) but the mounting bolts are original. Rust proofing not only protects the frame, but brake lines, transmission lines, etc20220920_195122.jpg
