It says it is safer for the paint. Found online:
"Goo Gone Automotive is not the same as the regular Goo Gone. Regular Goo Gone may likely damage a car's paint, but Goo Gone Automotive is specifically designed to remove stains from a vehicle's surface without removing the paint."

Unfortunately as stated above its the first thing the guys at the car color place tried and it didnt even phase it or change it in the least. Whatever it is its no longer just on the surface.

Had the same problem. Eraser wheel did the trick for me: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/removing-trd-decal-residue.604573/#post-22887136

    https://www.amazon.com/Car-Decal-Removal-Tool-Junior/dp/B00VFACQRE

Mind the 4000 rpm speed limit. I used a 3000 rpm corded electric drill. Don't use it with a crazy air grinder.

I’m really curious what polishing compound would do at this point given the lack of success with the adhesive removing chemicals…

Honestly since I already have the compound and the polish to specifically remove the swirl marks from this compound Im thinking I may try it.........but then again if I can get the sticker remover locally.......

Will have to try something tonight

Funny you say that, I have an older Meguiars clay bar that I have used seemingly hundreds of times to remove tree sap from several of my cars and have not tried it on this yet.

    Another one to try!

The 3M Eraser wheel is the absolute best way to remove decals. Hands down, I removed a 2 x 4 decal on a work van in about 15- 20 minutes with minimum effort. The drill does all the work.

lol - all booger material removed. The only thing now that remains are some marks that look like flat areas.
There are 0 sticky areas at all. Nothing really to pick or scrape off at all.

Here is an idea of what it looks like although in some angles it's hard to tell.

    This is a before:

    IMG_20220922_164948493.jpg

    Passenger side:

    IMG_20220922_165005986.jpg

It's fairly smooth too, but just a VERY minor hint of something other than a smooth painted surface

They won't have it. An autobody supply store will have it.
