So I have a 97 Taco that recently started throwing a code for a faulty TPS Sensor. Replaced the sensor but when I start the truck, it idles fine for like 5 seconds before bogging out and stalling. Was curious if anyone had a fix or a reason why it would be doing this?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
With every code it is the complete circuit not just the sensor. When tested the original sensor had failed? Have you compared the test results of the replaced sensor with the original?

You did not find the real cause of the code tripping .

Following. Mine threw a code about the TPS earlier this year. Cleared it and it hasn't come back on but I am curious how involved that code really is.

Did you use a OEM or Denso sensor, or just a part store one? Non-OEM sensors tend not to work well.
