SR/SR5 OEM LED headlight harness V2

Just installed it

it was WAY easier than I thought on an SR, no fender flare means I didn't have to struggle to peel apart the bumper to reveal the 10mm

OP's instruction is very accurate, one thing I'd like to add is that you might want to use electric hand wrench to tighten the 8mm locking nut, hand tightening was a bit painful

I didn't zip tie anything

I did install resistors provided by the OP

I also run MESO stage 1 in the rear and I needed the plug and play resistors provided by MESO too in the rear, otherwise I'd get hyperflashing

he did, I'm not sure if V6 is the same, but on my 4 banger, there is so much empty space and wires can remain unmolested. If I zip tie them, I feel like I'm actually exerting extra stress on them

DRL would not light up in P stationary, so the video's shot in D standing still

1. Starting off from stalk setting on DRL
2. and then OFF
3. and then back up one notch to DRL, you can see the amber flash and delay
4. and then up another notch to parking lights, instant on
5. and then low beams, high beams, you can see the dimmed DRL
6. and back to parking lights, similar to #3
7. and back to DRL
8. testing left and right signal, slight delay getting back to white DRL
9. and OFF

A little bit different from the OEM behavior but I'm very satisfied nonetheless

 

Did you have your parking brake on? DRL will not be on if E-Brake is engaged when shifter is in P.

 

that's true, I did set the hand brake every time I put in P

 

@Puppypunter I may be late to the party, but do you still have any of these ready to ship? I'm trying to get the OEM-LEDs on my SR5 before too long. Thanks for all the great info and work you've done so far.

Yes. A little bit more stock coming at the end of the week then I’ll be moving. Hard to keep these in stock. But we are working on it. I’m a bit limited by relays right now as my order from 4 months ago is arriving in November.

 

I have 3 of these in stock but keeping the store closed through the week b/c moving is hard.
I think all 3 are already spoken for so please hit me up with a DM or using the FBC contact form if you feel like you're in line.
If you haven't already been asking me for one of these, please hold off till next week when the store re-opens.

Head's up to everyone who is waiting that I have the batch ready for sale. I will post inventory late tonight, likely close to 10pm PST. If you desperately cannot live without this harness, I'll add another post here once I do. I don't expect them to sell out before the weekend is over but I can't make any guarantees. And, yes, there is always another batch on the way.

 

OK, sorry to get anyone's hopes up but I'm holding off on refreshing inventory. I do have the harnesses built and ready to go. However, I have not received the relays I need to make them work. My card was charged (I ordered in May) so I'm hopeful but my order history does not show shipped nor does it have a ship date other than an "estimated" one which keeps rotating to today at midnight.

Sorry to make people wait just a bit longer but it's really the only safe way to protect us. I promise to update inventory as soon as the box of relays arrives.
