TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Haha. All this 3rd gen stuff. Just found a 2023 for my mom. In the electric lime. She loves the green color and missed out on a pro so got a sport coming. Got the black trd wheels. Toyo mts 255/80r17 and just doing a ready lift 3/2. All the parts are in next waiting for the truck.

 

I got mine from a dealer in Mew Mexico and negotiated the transport back to me. 22 Pro in white with a manual of course.

 

Ya I gotta get mine from my dealer lol. They always get me a good deal. My mom has a 2017 sport right now with 55k. She paid $32,900 and they are giving her $30,900. Couldn’t say no to the upgrade.

 

Here's a fun one.. Tuned a 2021 4Runner on the dyno today. Thought it would be interesting to see the difference between a Single and Dual VVTi 1GR. (Both 100% stock w/ tune in this graph).

Very nice. I also got my dealer to throw in a trd cai. As far as why I did all this?? I absolutely love my truck and probably will cry when I see it being driven away by my buyer. I crave the little things I’ve never had. Sunroof, heated seats, power everything etc. I’ve never had a expensive new vehicle before. I figured if I ever wanted to sell my truck to do this, the time is now. It still has super low miles. I’ve taken great care of it. The time to capitalize on its value is now. Not when it has 130k miles and is tired. Not gonna lie. Driving the new Pro today to get the windows tinted made me realize I’ll my the power of the s/c. I hoping the regear and then a tune will keep me satisfied for a while. And if not, I can always boost it

 

I give you 3 months until you buy a supercharger.

 

Na….. if I was set on it, it definitely won’t be that soon. Im gonna need to sell my 2nd gen as soon as I put it up for sale to help pay down my loan on the Pro. I hate debt and want to pay that off asap. In the middle of all this. I’m having my motor in my 68 Nova rebuilt and stroked out to a 383. That will produce 500hp. So, that will suffice for now. More importantly, I now wanna pay that off asap as well. Lotta plates spinning here. 1st world problems.

 

Haha ya I got the 19 tundra that has some nice thing but got a 22 rx350 too with all the bells and whistles. That’s why I want a is500.

I also have a sweet tube high clearance bumper (still in the box) from Outgear Solutions. Same as the one in the pic below. Spent $1300 after shipping. I’ll let that go for $600 plus shipping.

I love it. But everything for my new Pro fell into place. I never got around to installing it. I love the way it looks. If I do a bumper on my pro, it’ll be this one. Sadly it won’t fit properly otherwise I’d obviously keep it.

You can sells yours and make back everything you paid for it new and then use that money, but the Supra and then still make a profit off your truck given these RIDICULOUS resale values lately. Lol.
