Utility package Tacomas (The bearded toy)

My 2029 SR Utility has no chrome around any of those, just a little around the radio dials. it has a steel gearshift clamp at the boot but don’t think it’s chrome. And best of all black front and rear bumpers with no chrome ends. TRDs and ORs often buy SR parts to black out the chrome lol. They’re not fooling’ anyone we got the real thing Here’s some pics from when it was new at the dealers:

I have zero chrome on my Utility. Only shiny spot inside cab is key hole on glove box

 

Thanks for the input, everyone. I think my confusion is cleared up after looking at more photos/videos on my computer instead of mobile devices. It seems some of the parts I was thinking were chrome (like the climate knobs and maybe the cup holder trim) are actually just a lighter satin silvery color. It's effectively the same to me as I'm going to black that stuff out too, as much as possible. I know large parts of the dash are also this color and unless I want to wrap them there's not much I can do about it. I'll have to actually see it in person first.

The vent covers I already got from Meso are looking to be useless though as that appears to already be black/dark gray. On the plus side that saves a lot of hassle (although I think I still have to rip the dash out to get to the climate knobs anyway. I won't really know how I feel about the shift collar (if its bare metal color) until I see that in person (but it was like $8 so who cares). Seems like I'm going to want the cup holder black trim as well. And apparently there are aftermarket knurled radio knobs which might be interesting.

I should probably just wait to get the dang truck first but obviously I'm excited and impatient. Thanks again!

I have a 4 cyl and it suits me fine. Was very close on getting the MGM color but I had 2 similar color vehicles before and went with Barcelona Red!

my 2022 utility DID come with intermittent wipers even though the sticker still says its deleted

 

This is my 2022 Utility. Some of the things I like about it are the 6 foot bed, and the clean storage space behind the seat instead of the folding jump seats. The intermittent wipers are a nice bonus. Three things I added to make it a little more convenient for my wife and me are the predator steps, the bed step and the tonneau cover. My wife is 5'2" and uses the predator steps when she gets into it, but at 5'9" I don't need them. Over the last couple of months I put 1413 miles on it and used 57.3 gallons of gas for an average of 24.6 mpg. I'm very happy with it!

 

i keep thinking when im away from the truck "yea those steelies might need to be replaced sometime"till i see it in person then im like "why? fuck they look good as is!" ,especially with the mgm or black models

 

I wish I would of left mine on. Don't have to bend over and dry them everytime I wash my truck.

When I saw how well Magnetic Grey Metallic keeps the black bumper from standing out, I was convinced to get my 2022 Utility in MGM. I wish Toyota still offered the Utility in manual in 2022, though.

When you do what he did, makes no difference what color the truck is.

Manual is worth changing colors for.
