Just for the hell of it I called the REBATH company to see how much to cover the old tub/shower on the first floor . Supposably they can cover tubs to change color or just update. So the guy looks and says easy job but they can’t cover what I have . They would rip out my one piece fiberglass enclosure ,install new shower enclosure and fixture . No tub . $12000  I let out with a big Holy shit and the guy didn’t know what to say . I told him no thanks I could do it myself with installing a base and beautiful tile for less than half of that quote ! Bunch of thieves

This is going to cost us $3500 -at most. I got the base and enclosure for $1235. The tile was $500. I am paying the contractor $1000 for his part. I also got a new showerhead. That was about $225. I have to get some concrete board, thin set and I am going to offer my step son money for his part, although he usually says no. He doesn't want to charge his mother money. Good guy.

I like the crisp air. What I don’t like is the windy crips air like yesterday.

My wife just cut my hair on the deck. It was brisk. it's easier, just sweep it off. Saves me about $30.

Afternoon PA, I get the Halo LED rough in mounts installed today after ripping the old soffit vent ceiling. Residential electrical ain't my thing but I can get by without getting raped by a local contractor. Fellows are supposed to be out Monday morning to replace the structural posts with new and start the sun room walls. Let's hope birds don't make a new home in my attic until then

OK, so, finally back from VA after 8 months of working down there.
I had offered the urethane part of a highlift base I ordered for my bottle jack. Someone here claimed it right away, but for the life of me I cannot find a trace of who I said could have it. I did as much searching as I can here, still nothing. I am tracking that @TwistedTLM4 replied, but I had already promised it to someone. So pls PM me if you have been waiting to get this part. If I don't receive a response after a few days, its all your's @TwistedTLM4

The is the first time in several months I’ve been able to sit on my balcony and “chill” (editing and uploading videos to YouTube).

    Temps are perfect.

Bit off more than I could chew. This upper ball joint is stuck. Tried a shitty puller and beating the bottom when the top nut was in. Any ideas are much appreciated.
This was also a pleasant surprise when I got started. At this point the hub will be the easy part. The hard line going into the caliper is froze as well and now rounded. Even got a new line wrench because I only had standard.

Hope everyone is making out better than I am currently.
