One reason I love my Taco is the Sunroof. My 4Runner had one and it makes my truck bright and all that jazz.

fast forward to popping a RTT onboard and suddenly I want the ability to add some additional storage over the cab during the trips.

A Prinsu or Rhino Rack are obvious options; I’m just wondering if anyone is running a cargo rack with the Sunroof; if so, is it annoying AF, noisy … or maybe just peaches and cream?

Not a prinsu or rhino, but had a Yakima basket over mine with a wind fairing and it was a bit of a ruckus. Only noticed it when I opened the sunroof however.

My basket moved to the teardrop, I made my own for the topper. Found a used wind deflector from our local rack store, got the materials from 8020 and Tnutz.

hmmm. That is some work put in. I don’t have the skills or that kinda time… but not too shabby.

surely someone out there popped a Prinsu over a sunroof.

I again, know the assumed answer… but alas. Anyone?

I have the Martin roof rack which is pretty similar to the Prinsu. I’ve found the wind noise with the sunroof open to only be slightly louder than without. I also placed my cross bars so they would not obstruct the view through the sunroof… Hope that helps OP

I have a Prinsu and I run 2 40” Pelican Vaults on it purposely to leave my sunroof unobstructed. Of the 2 bars furthest forward, the rearmost one serves as the forward mount for the Pelicans while the forward one is pushed as close to the Prinsu air deflector as possible. The sunroof is roughly 90% unobstructed. I have no complaints and I keep it open often. The only time it’s ‘noisy’ is if I neglect to pack everything tightly inside the Pelicans and I hear something starting to roll around while I have the roof open.

I have a Prinsu on my double cab and did not notice a substantial noise difference in the rack alone. As far as cargo carrying on the rack, my experience has been you get what you pay for...

I totally get the “pay for what you expect”. For now I’ll go as is.

I’ll likely add after ditch lighting and a suspension upgrade… to my, suspension upgrade. Lol
