Hey everyone! Hopefully someone here can toss some new ideas around.
Got a friend with a 2007 Acura TL Type-S (6 speed manual). Timing belt went out, no point trying to reuse that motor so he got a JDM motor. 95% the same, almost everything matched up perfectly.
He got it in, fired it up, let it run for about 20 minutes to relearn. Took it on a 5 mile drive, drove GREAT. Came home and shut it off. Come out to the car the next morning and it refuses to start.

Cranks endlessly, smells of gas from the exhaust after cranking (tells me it's getting fuel?), but sounds like it has no spark. It's throwing P0335 and P0340 codes at the same time.
This is leading me to believe there's a bad ground possibly. I see no other reason it would've driven great only to have something fail over night.

ANY ideas would be much appreciated!!
