Im thinking my mechanic messed up when installing my wheels and tires because there are no tire pressure reading on the dash. I was hoping to correct it with Techstream but the program demands to be updated before connecting to the vehicle. I’m running V14. I thought this may not be a good idea so I bailed out with control-alt-delete and closed it down
Is there a way around this update window? What happens if I click on UPDATE?

If it’s pirated you’ll get locked out, it will link you to a page that requires a log in.

tech steam version does not change what you can do, 14 has same function as 17 .

just delete it and start over

make sure your data, internet, and wifi access are off. you dont want to be hooked to the web while doing this. @tonered can shed some light too. Ski

See the red text in the 1st Post of the ECU Update thread.

Also, it can sometimes take quite a few miles for the TPMS readings to come back. TS cannot speed that along, but it can tell you if there are any errors and if the output is being received.

Oh ya. Turn off the Wi-Fi and try again. I thought I remembered something about updates were to be avoided. That’s why I bailed. :)

And I’ve put about 3,000 miles on the truck since mounting the tires. I just keep forgetting to address the issue.
