Good morning Toyota family. Just purchased a 2022 Toyota Tacoma SR5 and traded in my 2016 Ram 1500. Overall fantastic experience with Salesman/Finance, they literally treated me like family. It's a change from the ol' Ram but really excited. Busted my *ss to get where I am. Only thing I am NOT liking is the speakers. Man are they horrible. doesn't even sound like top dash barely works. Is it worth seeing if they will upgrade do to being so horrible or just upgrade myself?

Welcome to TW… Most Tacoma speakers are junk. Replace them yourself with some good ones, I really like my Kickers. A lot of people hear will direct you to Crutchfield but I got mine at a local audio shop.

Nice!! I traded in my POS 2013 Ram 1500 for my SR5. Best decision I’ve ever made. Welcome to the club!

I also traded in a 2014 ram. I drove that thing 351000 miles before my Tacoma came in. I like both trucks. The Tacoma is so easy to drive and fun. The ram has the better transmission. I have the JBL in mine and it seems fine for me but I would think the speakers would be easy to change.

Another.. I agree Ram transmission def seems better and more fluid but the Tacoma is easy to drive, more responsive and fun. Getting step bars and tint this week and than absolutely have to work on those speakers. I have hearing loss in both ears so when something is even slightly off like this it seems massive but the consensus seems to be to replace front speakers with kickers at minimum.

Thank you Finn. It is crazy that volume is 3/4 way up and definitely mediocre at best.

NHJ2007 absolutely I will. 1/4 of the problem was playing music through Spotify there are specific settings for volume you have to adjust but also through bluetooth on phone still doesn't sound right so will still do the upgrade. Hope to get this done in next two weeks unless I have to special order. What color are you getting? Very responsive to drive, fun, absolutely love the new car smell lol
