So my 2000 Tacoma 2.7 switched out the two ignition coils cause I had a code thrown for miss fire on 2 and 4. Truck starts better but still has rough idle to the point it dies if not holding at 1k rmp or just under, any thought or ideas on what next to check?

For misfires check plugs and injectors first.....
misfires at idle sugest injector pattern or flow problem at low speed.....

high speed misfires is often fuel supply issues....ie failing pump, clog filter....

might have to move around injectors and see if the code follows the that injector....

miles on plugs and injects ?.....ever try running injector cleaner.....ever?

I’ll get code ran in the next day or so and see what they’re saying I can’t remember what code it was throwing I remember it said miss fire on cylinder 2 and 4, idk how many miles are on injectors probably check those out tomorrow, spark plugs got less than 5k on them. I’m gonna fuel up tomorrow with quality gas and some injector cleaner and see from there, would spark plug wires make for bad idle?

Best thing is get u a blue tooth scanner .......and look at live data at idle and driving....
anything else is kinda guessing.....and may throw unnessary parts at it.....

With the live data, say with BlueDriver, what should we be comparing between idle and driving?
