Not sure of the brand of the new clutch parts that were installed on my 96 3.4 5spd, but I'm guessing non-OEM.

If I'm on gravel, especially pulling away uphill the tires will really spin. It's been a while since I've had a vehicle with a stick, I knew when I bought it the clutch was in need of replacing.
Will this effect decrease as the new clutch is broken in, or can I expect this to be a constant issue?

Wheel spin have nothing to do with your clutch replacement. It's more the operator. You have to find the balance between spinning and traction.

The RPM's do seem high at idle... around 1200.

Yep. And any weight or lack there of in the back will factor in too.

OP, is that your idle figure after fully warmed up, or right at first cold start?

Cold start, I don't recall what it is after it warms up, it might still be up around 1000.

Cold that doesn’t sound crazy high. Ideally it’ll start high, drop pretty quick, and then continue to slowly drop until idling around 750rpm or so for the 3.4

At least that’s where mine lives.
