    Added trans cooler and external filter. How do I compensate for the additional volume? How do I accurately check fluid level? It is an additional 16 oz of volume. I have spoken to four ASE Master Techs and received four different answers…

    since the cooler and filter is mounted higher, once the engine is turned off it will drain back into trans with no accountability for the increased volume…. so checking it the normal way…. where is the compensation for the additional space/area…

    All trans coolers are mounted higher than the trans. The procedure remains the same
