The cheap way... And probably the best, is paint it flat black (black is really good at hiding) put some sliders on and disclose when you sell. Any attempt to repair it is gonna go tits up.
I would rather buy it with a crushed rocker than one full of plastic.
Knock a grand off the price of truck. Move on.

Problem is sliders alone cost almost a grand now for bare metal, and I can't find any used ones anywhere. Rather have it looking new with no damage than go through the trouble of slapping liner and sliders on that I also have to paint/liner

I said to fix it right the first time. A good body man can also do it without cutting and adding a new piece in. A good repair can last years and I have seen it done many times.

Look around for a good body guy who will not kill you on the price and just fix it . Detail the truck when done and sell it for 1k or 1.5 k more than you had in your head if you plan on selling it. Then just stick to your price . In today market it will sell and you won’t feel so bad.

if you don’t want to go through insurance then get rock sliders or any step bars.

I'm just trying to do this for as low cost as possible since I'm going to sell it afterwards. So its either I kinda fix it for cheap or not at all and put bedliner on and disclose to buyer, or fix it completely to like-new and either pay out of pocket or go through insurance. I have USAA and not accidents in the past 5 years theres that

Just sell it, as is. The new owner will do with it as they please.

Yea I'm going to get a bunch of quotes today for both completely fixing it with paint job and all, or just having them pull the dent out so it looks reasonable then I'll put bedliner on it myself.

Yea I'm still deciding if its worth the trouble to fix it or just let new owner do what they want with it and drop the price a couple thousand.

This may be the best option if you’re not going to keep it. Normally I’d use the insurance I pay for, but if you factor the deductible and the increase, it’ll probably cost less to leave and discount sell price.
Either way, I’d leave it or have a body shop fix it, and avoid any driveway attempts, it’ll probably consume lots of time and money and still look like complete shit.

Main problem with doing it like that, if the person wants to have it fixed after buying it, it will cost more to undo what you did and do it again.

Thats what I'm thinking and just put some black or desert tan bed liner on it and price accordingly, no way would i try to fix the dent myself.

Thats fair. Even if I just slap some bedliner on it? I have someone that would help me thats very knowledgeable about painting vehicles, they're the ones that suggested bed liner only
