I have been looking around online for a 6 inch lift and some bigger wheels for my tacoma. Some of the websites say that the lift does not work on the XP or X series tacomas, which confused me because I thought it was only a cosmetic upgrade. Anyone have any insight?

It's called the predator series, it's a 2022. Yes I do know that the frame will need to be modified, thanks.

I still can’t try to answer your question, because you haven’t said which lift kit you are referring to. I can guess and say that if it is a 3rd gen drop bracket lift kit then it should fit all 3rd gen trims. You need to give us basic information like year, model, trim (SR, SR5, Sport, OR, Limited, Pro, DCSB, DCLB, ACLB, 2wd, 4wd, etc), modifications, and a link to the lift kit.

I did a little research on what Tacoma X and XP and they appear to be specific to the SE US region. I see SE dealer web pages for them, but there is no mention of them on the Toyota corporate website. It’s unclear which trim they are based on. I’m guessing either SR or SR5.

Thanks for the help, I have been looking at these threads while in school so I have not been fully focused on this. It is the sr5 trim with the xp package and 4wd. I have looked at a lot of different lifts, right now I think i am going to get the Zone Offroad Tacoma 6in lift

The drop bracket lift will work on your truck. The x and XP are just package options. Everything else is the same
