Misfiring and don't know why

    1998 toyota tacoma prerunner
    Okay so I have a 1998 toyota tacoma prerunner 4 cylinder 2.7 I have changed spark plugs, plu wires, fuel filter (which was ready nasty and full with dirt) , coil packs , and today a MAFS. It's honestly becoming a headache and really just wanna know what is going on.

    Start with compression and leak down test.
    Especially if the valve clearance has never been checked and valves adjusted.
    2.7s are prone to burnt exhaust valves from being out of adjustment.
