They brought up rodent damage when I first brought it in. A few days later they said there’s no signs of rodent damage and that it was the knock sensor. It ohm checked bad. Hoping for a running truck Monday :D ..non-limp-mode running, that is.

OP, Sorry to hear about your new truck issues. It happens and you just got a little unlucky I suppose. My truck is 2 years old and has had no issues other than a binding, creaking gas door that caused it to miss-align and almost damage the paint a little bit. Little shot of WD-40 for now fixed it right away. Good luck and hopefully that will be the end of your issues.

Over a year in my 2021 ... about 11,000 miles ... runs like it did on day one. Hope this is a pesky one-off and the rest of the life of the truck is problem free. My money says that will be the case.

Is Hamilton’s working on it? I’m in Ft Sumner and I went to Roswell for mine because I couldn’t deal with Hamilton’s mark up and low trade in valuation…and I have friends who work for them, supposedly going to “hook me up”…not!

On another note, what winch bumper did you go with? I’m looking for one for mine.

    Yes they are.

I went with Body Armor 4x4’s HiLine Series front bumper. I was worried, but it fit a rough country 12k lb winch nicely

I’m between Body Armor and DV8. I like that DV8 doesn’t require cutting the factory plastic on a two week old truck, but BA’s fit and finish look a little cleaner in the pictures I’ve seen. Haven’t seen either one in person…

No major issues with my 2020 that came from texas. Had a squeak in the steering gear, but some silicon spray fixed that. Other than that i had a dirty door switch i sprayed with some deoxit.

My loaded 2021 Off-road, purchased 12/2/2020, was nearly 11.3% off MSRP. My loaded 2017 was 11% off MSRP. My 2016 4Runner Trail Premium was 11% off MSRP.

The 2017 was Inferno and on the lot. The 2016 runner is silver. The 2021 is silver. They were at the port.

I spent approximately 30 minutes on each vehicle negotiating price and trade-in. I spent another 30-45 minutes actually in the dealer paying for each and driving off.

    I know what I’m doing.

I think I have screen shots and details in the sticky “what did you pay” thread. I’ll dig it up in a few minutes. Keep in mind our world changed a lot in the past 22 months.

    As in discount?

Keep in mind we are in different parts of the country and prices have been historically pretty low in Texas. A few guys got a better deal than I did back then, but not many. Good discounts back then were 8-10%.

Not as in discount. Just as a joke. But yeah Texas prices are different, you don’t want to know what I paid to California to register, but I walk with a limp now.

there is alot of competition in texas dealers to sell trucks so that means discounts
