    Hello

Don't know if this is the correct forum to ask this, but I need help creating a line graph/chart in Excel.

Currently trying to do it and I'm getting an error: The chart range is too complex to be displayed.

And naturally the data and ranges in the chart are all wonky.

    Summary of data:

    Column A: 511 rows of dates in chronological order. (8/21/20 - 12/16/21).
Column B: 511 rows of dollar amounts (respective to the date in Column A). Dollar amounts range from -$50,000 to $220,000 (approx).

    Issues:

Aside from the aforementioned error message, you can see in the generated chart that the date format is nonsensical, the X Axis label is in the middle of the chart and the full date range is not captured.

Can anyone help me make a valid chart/graph? I can send you the raw data if need be.

    Thank you in advance.

If you still need help, could you please send the raw data? My guess is your date column is not actually stored in Excel as date data, but some sort of text.
