If it’s anything like the Prius Prime heated steering wheel, its ridiculously low heat. Almost useless with gloves.

It’s a luxury for cold regions for sure. Especially when you forgot your gloves or whatever.

I rate it higher than seat heaters in my books. We see -20 a lot

I'd add it if the cost wasn't crazy. I even have an extra circuit open from running power for me heated seats. Would pair nice with remote start, have the seat and wheel already warm when you get in.

It is now the opposite. LED headlights and fog lights are now standard features for the 4Runner as of 2022.

The worst is when you think you're smart AF and leave your gloves in your truck. FML I do this too often.

Nope, I’ve seen single digits is the lowest. If it’s so cold that I need to warm up the steering wheel, I might would just direct the air vents towards it.

    I don’t know, can you?
My guess is no, since you asked.

Come spend a winter in Canada and you'll wish you had one lol. I always thought they were silly until I had a rental with one in the dead of winter.

You also live in Texas.. Not that you guys dont get cold, but I have done work in Canada in the winter, and those -40 predawn mornings are rough. Having everything warmed up with remote start is the tits.

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
There was a thread here on the attributes of heated steering wheels within the last 6-8 months. I was in the crowd of "why?" Then in February, I bought a RAV4 that had the cold weather package with auto rain detecting wiper, heated seats, heated wipers, and heated steering wheel. It was part of the deal, take it or leave it. Not something we really need here on the central coast of Kalifornistan but I gotta say, the heated steering is pretty bitchin on those 30*F wet or foggy mornings we get here. It's my wife daily driver and she absolutely loves it so it was worth whatever the hell extra it cost us.

Sadly that doesn't help. Truck has been outside overnight, 10 minutes of warmish air doesn't do anything. It's just one of those things that doesn't seem like you'd miss it until you don't have it.

I can definitely see the value of a heated steering wheel for our northern brethren. Just like I saw the value in the nut-sac air vent under the steering wheel in my circa 80's Toyota pickup. Down here in Hot-Lanta, it was a nice feature.

We hit -57.46f last winter here in Alberta, Canada. People who have never experienced these temps cannot fathom how much it sucks lol.
