New Tacoma...again...

Well, I haven't done one of these in a while...

I traded in my Black 2nd Gen Tacoma last year and went with an Army Green 2021 TRD Off-Road Long Bed.


However...after I bought parts and (LUCKILY) only put the sliders on, I was hit by an old man driving a Subaru SW... Unfortunately, My insurance totaled my truck because of frame damage (damn old guy hit me just right).

Also, to note, safety technology in these things are awesome. Side impact only deployed the side curtain airbags. The split second I was hit and the airbags deployed, Toyota Safety was on the line and confirming I was in a crash. I was quite surprised and pissed off at the same time.

Luckily, my dash cam caught everything, so there was no argument as to what happened.


I put the word in to my buddy at the dealer and he said he'd keep his eye out, but new builds were 9+ months out. Luckily for me, a week later, he called me back and told me he had one come in that was basically my truck (same VIN except for the last 4). I picked that one up and put my stuff on it (sans lift kit) and couldn't be happier at the moment.


Now to save up for some tires to go with my lift I have sitting in my shop

Sucks about the other truck. Congrats on quickly finding a new one. I was told a similar thing when I went looking last month but then got a call the very next day that they had one come in similar to what I was looking for. Lol. Only had to wait a day.
