I have a low rumble vibration that feels like its coming from the drivetrain at about 1200-1500 RPMs. Only happens when going up hills just before it downshifts. As soon as it downshifts it goes away, but if I don't give it more gas to allow it to downshift the vibration will continue till it finally downshifts. Please help! Btw it's a 2008 double cab V6

At $70 I would hate for that to not be the issue. Just entertaining other ideas that it may be.

Try greasing the zerk fitting on the drive shafts. Should be about 3 or so?

Greased the fittings and tried taking a look at everything while I was down there. Only think I noticed was the drive shaft center support bearing had about 1/4" of play. Normal?? Any way to tell if the trans mount is bad before I actually buy one???

The 2.7 is a HUGE GIGANTIC 4 cylinder.

The stroke is LOOOOOONG LOOOOOOOONG and it will vibrate no matter what you do. Counter balances on the crankshaft will not make happy-happy-joy-joy smooth (it will make a happy medium tho).

    Its plain old physics.

Luv the square, or shut the pie-hole.

    Sorry and peace-out!

Please excuse my passion if you have a v-6

How hard is the tranny mount replacement. At 115k I am out of warranty so looks like I'm doing it myself. Can't find any write ups on it. Any help would be great!

@rocesride I'm having the same issue you described to the T. Were you able to solve your issue? I'm also right at 115k and have an 07. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

@NOCOTACOMA I’m also experiencing the exact same thing as you and @rocesride . 115k miles, same exact rpm range on a slight incline usually - did you ever figure it out?

    Cheers!
