    better suspension....
Hi folks - thought I'd share some pictures of what I've been doing with a truck I picked up last June. It's a 2000 3.4 TRD OffRoad with everything working surprisingly well.

This is me trading in my old f250 for a (much) smaller vehicle (albeit with only 72k miles which is pretty damn good for a 2000)....IMG_2212.jpg

I wanted to get some slightly bigger wheels than the 15' ones that come stock, so I picked up some 3rd Gen 4Runner '5 Star' wheels from Craigslist and threw those on...

    IMG_2240.jpg

A few weeks later I picked up some OME suspension to install. For a 21-year old truck (at the time), it was crazy how little corrosion the underside has. This thing sat in a garage for its entire life. This was the truck at original ride height....

    IMG_2254.jpg

And this was after the suspension install (but before everything settled a bit)...with added helper hound

    IMG_2258.jpg

Added a soft topper over the summer which has held up through the Colorado sun and snow...

    IMG_2430.jpg

And then just a few days ago picked up some American Racing Baja wheels and some 265/75/16 Duratrac Ultraterrain tires...

Next up....I've got an AllPro tube bumper sitting in my garage that needs to be powder coated and installed, and a front plate bumper from 4XInnovations out of Wisconsin on order....so hopefully some more updates soon

Here's a shot of the underside of the truck from when the suspension was being switched out. Can't have too many complaints about the state of the frame (or the ease at which all the bolts came out...). No :sawzall: needed....

Got the 4xInnovations bumper installed over the weekend. Still need to wire up the lights but overall really happy with it. Although the bolts that go into the frame rail ends might be the most fiddly thing ever....

I'm running the OME880 springs on the front, so I'll have to decide whether to switch them out for some stiffer springs

What a gem. Make sure to fluid film that undercarriage for the winters. Should last at least another 20 years.

Trail Gear rear bumper added yesterday. Wasn't too bad to install, some dish detergent helped everything slide together...

    IMG_3523.jpg

And then wired up the pod lights. Just need to cut a hole in the dash somewhere to install the switch and that's finished. And after wiring up the blinkers I realize I need to install a new flasher to deal with the hyper-blinking but everything seems to work ok...
