I know I've posted about clunks before, but recently my truck has been making a clink/ clunk noise when I put the transmission into reverse from park. It only really happens when the cars been parked overnight and is dead cold. I've had it checked out before and I've always been told everything looks fine, I'm just sitting here wondering if this is something I should ignore or if it's something to worry about. Sorry for always posting about noises, I just wanna keep my truck in A1 condition, especially before winter hits. Thanks

first thing I'd do is grease all the zerk fittings on the drive shaft. There are times you need to remove the rear of the drive shaft and grease the splines. Are you familiar with this.

Could be ujoint, a broken leaf spring, or something else.

At the very least get under the truck and look at how things are. U joints are tricky to test, grease them first like crippledoldman suggested.

If they are the ujoints clunking, usually can look at them and tell they are bad
