Poker situation

So I heard about a situation that happened the other night an im trying to figure out what happened. If you don't know about poker or home games please carry on.

So 6 guys playing a friendly game of .25 .50 20 buck buy in, in the garage watching the fight later in the evening, game has been friendly thus far. Here we go, Small blind big blind post there blinds, utg raises, +1 folds, high jack rearises, dealer folds, SB goes all-in $8 preflop an BB folds. UTG fold. Highjack slides his cards to UTG and says man i gotta good hand check it out, UTG looks. He then slides the cards back and says yeah they are nice. Being a relaxed atmosphere the UTG raiser who had just looked at the cards of the highjack, who has folded takes it upon himself to look at all 5 hole cards being that he isn't in the hand being sure not to let anyone else see. He then gets up from the table not making eye contact or speaking to anyone and leaves the room until the High Jack makes the call. Which took a while. Small Blind freaks out an calls them all cheaters and starts yelling making a very big deal outta the situation, then some feelings and egos got hurt. Game ended after table was flipped. Remember please all friends here for 25+ years. Grown men 30+. No cheating was going on for sure, i know this to be a fact.

Who was in the wrong? What should have been done or not been done? Im at a lose on this one. What yalls thoughts?

Should the looser, the SB just sucked up his pride and bought back in?

First it is a $20 buy in at a home game. Not sure if that would justify turning a table. A table would be like $100 buy in. LOL. Anyways tell your friends to grow up. Then tell player who peeked at hole cards keep his paws off. In 30 plus years I have seen a few times where money was pulled out and cards reshuffled. That would have may have worked here.

 

Yes, he should have sucked it up. But also, everyone can show their hands if they want After the hand is over. Let the game end and you’ll see all the cards you want. Hopefully drinking was involved.

Reminds of a time when I cleaned up all summer off a pizza parlor owner and his staff. He lost so much cash he ended up picking up a chair and throwing it threw his screened in porch. Last time we ever played there. PS I cheated by shuffling aces and having my friend in on it. Some reason my friend never wanted a cut. i do not think I have ever told anyone the last part. I was taking in 3-4 k a week and pissing it away on baseball cards and keeping my Supra on the road.
