Lowe's is garbage, but I do stop there for convenience. McLendon's is way better, but I hate the location of the one in Woodinville

Got a Mclendon's just up the street, but they're usually FAR more expensive than driving the extra 2 miles to HD.

I agree on both points. The new H-D in Lynnwood is nice to have.

What is it about Woodinville and shitty parking / access? Costco, the Target shopping area, the Cut Shop, Rooneys, and others. It's crazy.

The workers seem to have a much better clue about things also. Lowes is understaffed with very little store or product knowledge.

Although, the constant stream of hellos (per directive?) is a bit annoying. Haha!

I don't know if they do this anymore, but I had a friend outta high school get a job at HD and she got sent to Seattle for a week of training on Tile, cause that's where she was assigned. She went from knowing nothing about tile, to knowing just about everything HAHAHA.

That's pretty cool and would seem to be a smart business decision.

I like that they almost always know where in the store something is.

I could see retiring and working at the 'depot. Might be a nice way to get some side biz too.

Much more of an Ace fan myself. But i also hate HD and Lowes. HD because their owner sucks and Lowes because, well, they suck, hahaha.

My sister's employer has been laying folks off like crazy, running out long time employees, etc... it's a mess. But she's just to the point she don't care. She said she'll keep working til they can her like all the rest of the people she's worked with for nearly 2 decades... Just last week she said, you know, if they fire me maybe I'll go get a job at Home Depot. lol. She's a technical consultant for utility companies, but her house is paid off, and she has very few living expenses anymore... so why not? haha. Long as they have healthcare covered!

I don't shop at HD because of the owners politics and honestly the Lowe's on this side of the mountains are not to bad. I am happy to spend a little more to support the smaller locally owned stores when they have what I need.

I’m in the Ace camp. I use Lowes when I know exactly what I want as it’s the closest option and I detest HD. HD has burned me multiple times when something says in stock and I either buy it online for pickup or shows in stock with a location and you get there only to be told they have been out for weeks.

Anybody remember the Piggly Wiggly grocery store? We had one in Tacoma.

Or the Ben Franklin over in Belfair?
