    Good evening!

I just received the cab mount relocation brackets made by Tacoma beast for my 2016 3rd gen Tacoma. I received two additional flat 1/4 steel plates that have a slight curve to them, they measure about 6x11 inches. One is marked passenger, and the other plate driver.

The plates are not listed on their website, on Tacoma beasts installation pdf, or the installation video. I emailed Tacoma beast and asked, they sent me a copy of their installation instructions that don’t list or reference the additional plates that I received lol.

Any ideas on what these plates are for? They look like frame reinforcement plates of some kind. Do I need to weld these in? Where do I weld them in? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time, John.[IMG]

I figured they were reinforcing plates for where the bracket gets welded to the frame. I’m just at a loss as to why their website, the installation pdf and their installation video show their brackets being welded directly to the vehicle frame, and don’t list or show the additional plates.

It may have been a later iteration and addition to the kit as i surmise they had some issues with the brackets warping that area due to the large hole near the relocation location.

I think I solved the mystery. I purchased the plates from Tacoma Beast, but their made by Alpine Design Off-road. ADO shows the secondary plates on their website.
