Let me start with the FJ Cruiser. I was driving an FJC and ordered a 2 door Bronco. I loved my FJC but miles where getting up there and looking at the new Bronco I was in love. So I ordered one and waited 8 months. Sold FJC to buddy when the Bronco was delivered and started the Bronco life. It was a loaded Badlands. First thing, it's amazing off road. Spent a week in the mountains and it crushed everything we put in front of it. It just seemed to be missing something. So I started throwing parts at it and no matter what I did, I just couldn't love it. Even with the Lux package, it seemed cheap (but it's price isn't). I've owned Jeeps and never really loved them and the Bronco is in the same ballpark. So after only 3 months, I sold the Bronco and picked up a low mileage 2018 Tacoma TRD Off-road long bed. The moment I drove it off the lot the world was just right. So for people looking into the Bronco, drive one more then just a few miles. Maybe rent one on Turo or something. Yes they look cool and are the hot new thing, but I don't think most people will enjoy living with one as a daily. I feel like people who enjoy Toyota's, the Ford is a step down. So now time to put a lift, tires, winch and rack for the tent. MAN I love being back in a well made vehicle.

If this is the wrong place to post, please move.

Guess I'm going to have to learn all the Tacoma lingo now, lol. Is the double cab long bed not a popular? Because I like the bed length.

They are harder to find. Most Tacomas are short beds due to off-roading. All manual Tacomas are short beds.

You are correct, DCLB stands for double cab long bed, colloquially referred to as the "trail limo" around here. I may be a little biased, but I think it's the best bed and cab configuration for all-around use.

Welcome to the Former Ford Owner's Recovery Group. You made the right choice.

    *Edited to add*
@BottleShark, it's a little odd to see an Off Road model with color-matched fender flares. Did you check to see if you have a rear differential lock switch?

Uhh.. you forgettin the Sport Access Cab in the US and the Off Road Access Cab in Canada EH. Both can be had in manual and are "long beds" :D

But I digress, if the "Trail Limo" was available in M/T, that's what I'd be driving.

Really? Yes it has the locker, MTS and Crawl Control. I would love to have a copy of my window sticker but I think you have to go to a dealer for that with Toyota.

DCLB don’t come in manuals. Access cabs aren’t even part of the topic.

Congrats on the new Tacoma although I'm a little surprised you didn't go with a 4runner after the FJ and Bronco SUVs. We just picked one up for the wife and I fell in love with it right from the start.

As for the Offroad fender flares notbeing black on your truck they may have been swapped out or painted by the previous owner.

Love my DCLB Offroad, have had it almost 7 years now but that 4Runner is giving it a run for being the favorite.

If we ever collapse down to a single vehicle it will be the 4runner and a utility trailer.
