Having a strange issue with my 3rd gen, the keyless range has become hilariously inconsistent. Sometimes it works far away, sometimes only close, sometimes not at all. The door handle interface exhibits similar issues on consistency working but i have zero issues with the keyless start.

Already replaced the batteries in both fobs and disconnected the trucks battery for 20 minutes, same issues.

    Anyone experience this?

Outside warranty so bringing it to the dealer is not an option.

Edit: Truck is stock electrically other than a lightbar

I expereinced the same issue, i bought a new key fob off ebay that has superior distance to the stock keys. Programmed with Tec stream (the chip inside of the key fob didnt work with the truck so i just transplanted one from a spare key)

I had the same issue with one of my Fobs. Gently used steel wool on the metal contacts where the coin battery sits and now it works perfectly.

Just throwing this out there since I also had similar issues with my lexus credit card fob for the taco. I realized that I had it in my phone case which has a RFID blocker to prevent theft! when I opened up the case it did way better. Did a little research on this and now I keep all my stuff in faraday pouches and don't mind not having the distance. Just food for thought.
