Had my cracked windshield replaced by Safelite a couple of weeks ago. Last weekend I noticed a strange sound coming from what sounded like the upper drivers side section of the windshield. Didn't sound like a wind leak or like a rattle but almost like a strange vibration. It would start up at around 70 MPH and get worse as the speed increased. I couldn't do anything inside the cab to affect the noise and it definitely wasn't there before the windshield replacement.
Anyway - I took it back to Safelite today and they pulled it back off and the Tech didn't see any cracks, gaps, or anything else that would leak. He figured it had to be the gasket. He wasn't the Tech who replaced the windshield but he thought that it would have been better to use a smaller gasket. That kind of made sense and when he said that I realized the noise I heard did sound more like a vibration or resonance. Apparently that little bit larger (and I think a little bit flatter in shape) gasket was resonating at higher speeds. The new gasket looks a lot more similar to what I remember the old one looking like and based on one highway speed trip today it's back to just the "normal" highway speed noise. Just an FYI - something to watch for if you get your windshield replaced.

I had the same thing. I added a little more sealer under the gasket and it went away.
