Your truck looks good, I’m about to put those same size tires on mine, now I’ll know what it’ll look like.

Probably can find a straight barb fitting in the plumbing section of ACE hardware or HomeDepot, they'll have brass at least.

I reckon this will work? It's not going to be cranked up before Amazon can ship this too me. I don't like driving to the store. All about that 21st century convenience.

Would brass fitting mixed with aluminum block cause corrosion? I know that's a concern with water cooled PCs.

Not really, very small amount of it. You're not supposed to use Toyota Pink coolant with it though, but Toyota Red is fine. You've got an aluminum head and iron block anyway.

The LBJ stud - is it supposed to rotate easily? Not talking about orbiting around the circumference just talking about twisting it in place.

Proper way to check is them still installed. Then just jack the wheel off the ground and use a pry bar to pry up the lbj. If it moves, it's bad.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

You are correct. Toyota doesn't say anything about threadlocker.

I always use blue Loctite and torque to 55 lbs (used to use OEM. Now I use the brass color bolts like Spiker showed in their tests)

    I've never had a problem.

But then again... I don't wheel very hard

I just drive mine to the mall occasionally.

Each to their own brother... all good.

As mentioned, I'm using the dust boots which were originally on the stock LBJs so I'm using the black w/washer bolts. Torqued to 37. I used blue loctite last time, this time I'm skipping it. If I wasn't using the dust boot, it would be the other bolts.

Totally get it. My opinion (to be taken for what it's worth) The dust boots are garbage. They were intended to shield the LBJs from grime. From what I've seen, all they do is catch a bunch of mud and grime, hold it in, and do the opposite of what they are supposed to do.

On hey, the frame made it here safely. Just haven’t had the free time and weather line up to get it sandblasted and painted to go under the truck.

While I'm waiting on a parts order to finish off the front end, decided to press out the hubs and bearings from my original PreRunner knuckles. Will clean them up and end up tossing them in the market place at some point.

Driver side was looking a little sad. Lots of build up and nastiness on the back side of the hub. Oddly, never noticed any issues. 160k or so on the original bearings so... Oh and why is it I can't seem to get a hub to press out cleanly? Have done 4 now and each one the bearing splits on me. Not that I would re-use the bearing but sure would like it if the hubs pressed out clean. Oh well.

    FWIW, original bearings were TIMKEN.
