Super. I will have dealer in town advise. Thanks for all the feedback and somewhat humorous responses. Entertaining and informative.

I replaced battery just yesterday. General consensus, was a five year old battery. Took care of no starting problem. I will test for drain. Perhaps it will circle back to this. Thanks.

these aftermarket alarms as they will immobilize your truck when they malfunction.

    FTFY.

Side note. Why would one put a Karr alarm in a truck? (say it out loud) :D

As others have mentioned, it's a Karr alarm. You may want to google for instructions as it may include a motion sensor. It's good to be able to turn the motion sensor (if included) on/off due to fireworks or loud motorcycles driving by while your truck is parked.

Confirmed, KARR system added at dealership. Now to activate and use or get it disabled. Thanks again Tacomaworlders.

Interesting. I was going to say maybe it is an IR receiver, for a IR sender used to select from numerous LED interior or rock lighting patterns or colors.

Its not plausible someone would run a separate LED by ones knee in a Tacoma for amp clipping .

It’s two holes someone drilled in your dashboard that will still be there after you take that piece of junk out.

Back when I had very little credit a long time ago, one car dealer wanted to put in a disabler device on a used car I was going to buy from them and it broke the deal. They were flabbergasted when I said no thank you goodbye and walked away. I really didn’t like the car that much for its color and interior anyway.
