Installed the hidden winch and wired. Test all remotes for proper operation.
Used the Torque Engineering mount. This mounts let’s you retain the factory recovery hook. Only modification done was to grind some metal for the winch to sit flat on left side of plate.

Mounted the winch control box using the Manor Mount. This mount lets me hook up the wired remote with ease.

    nice setup.
whats the black heatsink looking thingy in the right middle of the radiator?
i didn't think too much of it till now but do all winches mount that close in?
these tacos don't have all that much in terms of cooling surface, my little 4cyl has the same size radiator..
i'm curious to what effect that has when you are in arizona heat, slow speeds and winching

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
@VicNic3 I'm wondering the same thing. Seems to be a lot of 'stuff' inhibiting air flow thru the radiator. Might be wise to monitor engine & transmission temps.

There is a lot of room behind the piece supporting the winch control box. My son had this and no problems at all with cooling issues. Plus the lower grille is open also.

Thank you!!! I was looking to use this kit for my future build.

The only difference is that I have an ARB front recovery point and cannot use the C4 Feb reinforcements. I was looking to do the BAMF reinforcement instead.

You're not grabbing enough thread with those two outer nuts on the frame horn bolts. You need to drill them out and install longer bolts so that you have better clamping force.

BAMF FBRB (Front bumper reinforcement brackets)2005 plus bumpers

Very clean set up. I wondered why so much room in the front of the trucks. I guess this is one good reason.

@1988Mercedes have you noticed any issues by not having the C4 Fabrication additional support brackets that @VicNic3 used on his installed? I am in the process of ordering the parts to do this project myself. I am just not sure on how necessary those C4 brackets are. my main concern is the mounting bolts not having enough tread to hold both, the winch mount and C4 bracket. any input you gents can provide would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

@VicNic3 & @1988Mercedes what length battery and ground wires are you using. I'm going to be helping a friend install a Warn Zeon in his truck soon. And the wiring it comes preinstalled with, looks like it will be too short. Warn offers a 72" pos and neg wire set.

Question: have you or anyone else in this thread had to deal with these? They are blocking my hidden winch mount by about two inches. Did you have to relocate somehow?
