    Never driven one. The do look nice, I almost prefer the styling of the 1500 Classic over the new 1500, probably because you can still get a regular cab.

    The last Ram product I drove was a 4500 DRW diesel, if I recall correctly it was a 2015. Seemed just as good if not better than a comparable GM or Ford. That truck was worked pretty good, and very well maintained.

    Not a Dodge at all, worse they're Fiat. Fiat owns Ram.

    Buddy if mine got one. Has the huge Tesla style screen nice premium looking leather interior and electronic side steps that give you about 3 inches of ground clearance. It’s a cool street truck I guess. My first impression was this truck is trying really hard to be a luxury car :annoyed:

    I think you mean Stellantis, and FCA was part of the merger for it.

    Did not know that. My uncle was a service manager at a local dodge/jeep dealership. He told me Fiat owns Ram and the quality has went downhill. I have 495k miles on my 04 Tacoma and I don't see it dying anytime soon so I'm not keeping up on new vehicles & manufacturers.

    Hard to believe it could have gotten worse but if anyone could have accomplished that, it's Fiat.

    :rofl::rofl:

    When I was in school a friend had a Fiat X1/9 which was much like a Pontiac Fiero except much earlier and even less reliable.

    It was a father & son project car and boy did they work on it, even though it was fairly new it broke down, fell apart and rusted away as quickly as they could fix it.

    My 2nd Gen ('06) had 197k on the clock when I traded it in '17, not a spot of rust and all I ever did was kept it washed. I live in WI. Here you frequently find 5yo Rams with the fenders and bumpers (!) rusting through. They may not be washing them frequently in the winter but still, WTF?!

    Back in the late '70s and early '80s, Toyota pickups were a joke. The beds rusted off (actually completely fell off!) in under 5 years. The drivetrains ran for 300k. In 40k, most had wood flatbeds built on them.

    Since Mercedes bought Dodge, their paint and rustproofing went right in the toilet!

    I’m not sure about other autos, but Toyota has sweeping frame replacement and/or treatment programs that span three generations of Tacomas, among other platforms. I’m not sure being critical of other autos for rust is the move.

    I went from the Tacoma, to the Ram. I love the Tacoma's reliability, but the Ram and it's 3.0L diesel is a breath of fresh air for fuel consumption. The fact it only took a 3" lift on the Ram to fit 35's is easier too, don't need to re-gear either. Tacoma needs a cab mount chop to do so with a 3" lift. Out of the big three, Ram seemed to have the most aftermarket support too for making the switch full-size. I understand this isn't comparing apples to apples by any means, but wanted to share my opinion on this as well.

    I'm sure I will get flack for making the switch, but also with the flatbeds we build, needed to showcase the full-size options..

    Had a 1500 recently as a rental for a month. Both my wife and I loved it. Drivability was way better. Transmission was smooth. 5.7 v8 got over 20 mpg vs my tacoma average of 16. But I don't know that it would be a good long term purchase due to the dodge reliability thing.
