Recently driving my wife’s 2022 Tacoma TRD off road and noticed a creaking noise from the front suspension. Passenger side, mostly low speed or accelerating from a stop, turning wheel low speed.

If I cycle the suspension from outside I can replicate the noise. Driver’s side is silent. Truck has 8000 miles. Tracks straight and smooth.

I daily a 4Runner so similar set up but nothing in terms of noise from it.

Looking for some advice from the community, I have read through some threads about lubing various bushings, etc but would like some guidance from folks with more experience with these trucks.

    thank you,
    Matt

Have your front body mounts checked. Mine had to be replaced at 8000 miles on my 2021. Best way to describe the sound is it was like a turkey call. Heard it most when going slow over bumps or making a slow left turn.

Thank you. Looks like a trip to the dealer. I wouldn’t describe it as a turkey call sound. More like a spring or strut creak.

I know noises travel but this sounds like it’s right in front of me at the front suspension when I rock the truck.

Took 2 trips to the dealership for them to find it wasn't my suspension.

My 2022 Tacoma SR5 started making the same noise you guys are talking about. I have 12,305 on it and I first noticed
it last week. If I'm going downhill turning left it sounds like a worn out ball joint or bushing. At first I though it was a loose wheel. Jacked it up with my floor jack back behind the wheel on the frame and looked at everything on the underside and found nothing. I let it back down, crawled under far enough to push up and down on the running board from the bottom side and that's when it makes the sound. Could not determine the source, Passenger side front. I live about 60 miles from the dealer in Gainsville, Ga and not quite due for the next service. If you guys find out what the heck it is, please post it.

Front cab mounts for me as the gentleman who replied to my thread suggested. Two trips to the dealer to figure it out. They are getting changed next week.

If you have running boards, check those too. I thought I had the cab mount issue but I found a plastic trim piece that snaps over the mounting bracket on my running board was rubbing on the pinch weld when you made a turn just right due to the natural slight flexing of the chassis. I dremeled the plastic for some extra clearance and that solved it.
