EDIT 10/13/23: The GX is for sale. Please see the newest post below for more info.

For Sale is my 2018 Lexus GX460. I purchased the vehicle in November of 2021 after the original owner traded it back into the dealer they originally purchased it from. It had 27,562 miles when I bought it and now has 31,4xx miles (which will go up ever-so-slightly). It has never been in an accident and never been smoked in. The exterior color is Black Onyx and the interior is Sepia. It has the following options: Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, power retracting/auto-dimming mirrors, Heated/Ventilated front seats, navigation package, Intuitive Parking Assist, and cargo net. The vehicle has a clean title.

Mechanically, it’s a perfect 10/10. It starts, idles, and drives as if it was brand new. It’s up to date on maintenance, all of which has been performed by the aforementioned Lexus dealer, and all maintenance history is present. An oil change was performed 11/03/2022.

The interior is in excellent shape as well, an 8.5-9/10. The seats are effectively perfect, everything works perfectly, there are no scratches on anything up front, the screen looks and functions perfectly, and so on. There are a few scratches in the cargo area.

The exterior is in very good condition overall, probably an 8.5/10. Somebody with a decent detailing hand could bring the exterior of the truck back to 100% or close to it with relative ease. There are a few small scratches on the sides, there’s a minor scratch under the rear bumper, the passenger side running board has a scrape underneath it, and there are some swirl marks that are only visible just after the truck is washed. There is minor superficial surface rust underneath the vehicle, typical of any Toyota product that has lived its life in the Northeast.

This GX has extensive upgrades, all of which have been added to it in the time I have had it. The full list of modifications is as follows:

-Ironman4x4 Foam Cell Pro suspension, including springs, shocks, upper control arms, adjustable rear panhard bar for the KDSS system, KDSS end link brackets kit with hardware
-Ironman4x4 Premium front bumper: Full replacement bumper with integrated LED turn signals, fog lights, etc
-Toyo Open Country A/T III tires, 285/70/17, C load rating (5x)
    -Motegi MR150 Trailite wheels in matte bronze, 17 x 8.5” w/Gorilla lug nuts (5x)
-Warn VR Evo 12-S winch w/wireless remote
-Midland MXT500 radio and MXTA25 “Ghost” antenna
-Lightforce Genesis LED driving lights w/CH4x4 OEM knockout switch
-JW Offroad “Bundle 2” spare tire carrier w/relocated license plate mount and extended backup camera (plus a Bofn Racing tailgate latch bumper strike cushion for added reinforcement)
    -Curt Class 3 hitch receiver
    -Kaon tailgate table w/cutting board
-Maxpider Kagu floor mats in 1st/2nd rows, OEM Lexus rubber cargo mat
    -Vehicle OCD center console organizer
-Phone dash rail mount w/Ram system and holder
-Dongar rearview mirror integration cable for dash cam (not installed)
-Luyed LED reverse lights (not installed)

All of these upgrades were professionally installed by local 4WD/off-road shops. The suspension, wheels/tires, winch, and GMRS were added in January of 2022 at around 29,500 miles. The lights, tire carrier, and table were installed in August of 2022 at around 30,500 miles. Please note that I intend on keeping the Lightforce lights and Midland GMRS. I will include the OEM wheels, factory spare wheel/tire, and OEM suspension components in the price of the sale should the buyer want.

I can provide further pictures, information, and the VIN to any interested party. I am mainly interested in an outright sale but would entertain trade offers. The vehicle is located in southwest Connecticut, and I am happy to pick a buyer up at the local airports or deliver the vehicle within a reasonable distance. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me should you be interested. Asking price is $45,999 OBO.

(This is a revised listing with better pictures as have been requested and a revised description)

Thanks! It really is a great vehicle, just not what I need at the moment and it's better off being used the way it should than just sitting in my driveway. I have it listed in a few places (here, ExPo, MUD, etc) but if it doesn't sell by middle of the month or so I will be listing it on Cars & Bids.

Great price and very tastefully done. I paid more than that for a stock 2019 with the same amount of miles. GLWS.

Thank you. Whoever buys it will get a fantastic vehicle with a lot of quality upgrades at a substantial discount versus what doing a comparable build on a similar year/mileage/condition vehicle would cost.

I would highly encourage detailing it and taking some pics in a nicer area with a higher end camera.

That is my plan for the upcoming weeks. I have a full-time job, a side job, am doing my MBA, and have a newborn. Needless to say, spare time to wash/wax the Lexus hasn't been easy to come by. But... soon! Hopefully can make some progress on it starting shortly, then update the pictures once that's done. If someone wants to buy it and have it professionally detailed, I'll knock $500 off the price :)

    Mid-week bump :)
Didn't mention it in the original post, but I'm interested in trades. Mainly Tundras/Tacomas, but open to others as well.

Straight trade for my 91k mile 2013 Tacoma . I looked at GXs for a little but I wasn't happy with their payload capacity, at least what I was seeing. Best of luck with the sale, hell of a vehicle

Haha, appreciate the offer but know you love that Tacoma. I think the GX's payload is something like 1,400 pounds... more than enough for most usage cases.

How has this thing not sold? It’s priced around the value of a certified stock one, with all the goodies.

    Super nice, GLWS

    Thank you.

It appears that a lot of people are weary of an impending recession, and spending much more cautiously as such, or are looking for a rig built like this with higher miles for less money. I've had a fair amount of interest but do recognize it's a niche market for a built Lexus.

Truth be told, I wouldn't be mad if it doesn't sell. I just crossed 32,000 miles on it the other day and it could easily stay with me for years, if not decades.

If it wasn’t for the premium gas and old school infotainment…………

Nice consolation prize if you have to keep it.
