Another new guy…

I’ve been lurking for a few years, but solidified my decision to buy a Taco back in July of ‘20 (my first- previously driven Ford/Dodge) based on what I read here. A couple of observations that I weighed from this forum:

- seat position: I’m 6’3” with no problem. My Taco is more comfortable than the Ram that I replaced. Even with the Tekonsha brake controller I put in front of my left knee.

- transmission hunting: only when towing at max capacity and driving hills. Fixed it by putting it in S4 and turning ECT on.

- mods: I consider my vehicles as tools, not status. I’ve driven cross country, and wheeled in southern CO- all with stock wheels and tires, no tune, and no lift. Good enough for me, but might consider adapting- I’m now near AOAA and Rausch Creek here in central PA.
