What thickness for the top HDPE panel did you use and what hinges do you use to attach to the extrusion? I was thinking to use a thicker plywood panel to support weight.

I installed LED lighting in the GFC today. I need to find a dimmer switch and a switch box to tidy this up and then I'll add some lighting to the tent level.

Anyone ever replaced the V1 screws for the sliding tent pin/lugs? One of mine has rattled away forever, and I wasn't really a fan of them anyways.

Basic question and I feel like a noob not finding the answer myself - anybody have a real clean way to attach an ARB awning to the side of the GFC? Joining t-track to t-track, seems like a trip to the hardware store should solve this without buying expensive adapters but so far I haven't found a great solution.

I don't know of a really clean way to install. GoFast tells me to use their universal brackets for my OVS (should be similar to ARB), although it is still sitting in my garage. I have been toying with the idea to design and fab brackets that allow for quick removal and reinstallation.

Those things do look really cool! $130 is a bit pricey, esp since I don't plan on taking it on/off but if I can't get anything to work from the hardware store, perhaps that's the next best way to go.

Does anyone have some close up photos of how they installed the Duluth bag in a V2? Order it ahead of time and taking it with me to pick up the camper at the end of the month

I have GFC awning mounts I can sell you. I never used them because I ended up with a kinsmen hardware awning and it has its own mounts.

how many do you have? I think I need 1 more. Planning on getting the blackout series ARB aluminum awning at some point. I have 2 currently. For a V2 right?

Have you installed the bed plugs from the tonneau cover in the front rail gaps? Other than that I don’t have any extra waterproofing and my bed stays pretty dry and dust free.

The tape under the bed rails is gonna help a lot I hear. I didn’t do that and with only the hardest rain will I get a little water rolling down the side of the bed. Not enough to wet my gear, I use a bed mat and my stuff stays dry

Ill get back to you soon about that single awning mount.

its kinda hard to spend $700 on an awning haha. Especially if its not a 270.. its on my list, but way down

Tell me about it, I spent $2800! Or so for mine, ouch. But I live and work in SoCal, it’s a necessity.
