Thanks. I will be glad to get this job out of here. Multiple part numbers for this customer, and every single one.. has been a nightmare. Prints not matching Models, Prints missing info and callouts, Wrong customer supplied material, etc. etc. I guess their in house Machinist walked out after years of dealing with all the proprietary info they had and didnt record or revise any of it. We've been catching all the issues and then playing tag trying to get answers, Rev changes, etc.. There's a few of us working on a couple different part numbers each.. so we're all ready to get this shit out the door.

 

New customer parts done, they wanted 10 by tomorrow. Boss ask could I do them in 1 1/2 hours, I laughed and said can you? He quoted 4

 

this looks like a nightmare.

 

I did my first ever drill and tap today!
It pales in comparison to your guys tapping stuff/skills but hey it's a start I guess

Put new burners in the grill today. Now just waiting on my E.B.T. card to reload so we can afford meat.

Quoted for truth! Any of you guys that hunt ever watch MeatEater with Steve Rinella on Netflix? I watched one last night he was hunting Sika deer in lower Maryland, meat looked delicious!!

That reminds me...
Anyone know what these tools are or for? My uncle was a machinist and these were in his tool collection and thought maybe it had to with machining. I thought what better place than here to ask...

 

Some of it has to do with a holder for an indicator, etc. The 2 pieces with the square head set screws look like jacks to support a part hanging out of a vice.

 

Some nice Starrett indicator pieces in by the look of it.

 

Okay. I thought it must have had to do with it cuz I found these next to the box...
