Possibly trying to git dun before rain?
Or maybe they're married and can't stand to be at home with their wives? Or maybe their wives are hounding them for that new TRD Off Road 4Runner in Lunar Mist?
    So many reasons.....

    Story time…

in a previous life, me, Lt. Rossi and Marky Mark are hanging around the station watching TV, scratching ourselves and picking our noses… BEEP BOOP GNAGHHH!

    ‘VEHICLE FIRE WITH ENTRAPMENT’

we jump in, I flick ALL the switches and away we go.

‘bout this time the chief calls and says he’s 10-20 and has a fully involved car v. car on the shoulder of the expressway and tells us to come up the ramp the wrong way and down the shoulder on the wrong side.

Now, it’s 5:00 rush hour, with a fireball on the side of the road, so imagine about five miles of a six lane parking lot…. I wheel up the ramp, on to the shoulder and have just enough room to squeeze the old LaFrance between the Jersey barrier and the traffic, going the wrong way, lights flashing, pedal to the metal, couple thousand gallons of water in my back pocket and big John yelling into the mic and hanging on the chain like an orangutan so no jackhole opens his door or pulls into my ‘lane’, head-on.

A few hundred yards from the Chief’s car, and the fireball, doing about 60, I step on the binders and…

    nuthin’.

Lt. gets off the horn, I throw it in neutral, redline it, pray and we stop about six inches from the Chiefs bumper.

We put out the fire (nobody in the cars) and while we’re cleaning up the Chief slaps me on the back and tells me how well I positioned the engine.

(The idiot who plumbed it up did not put a check valve between the main tank and the brake reservoir…)

I'm thinking of putting those in my RV so I don't trip over my GSD when I get up to pee during the night. Its the timer adjustable?
