    Hello all!

I recently was in the market for a new vehicle here in MI. With the market for vehicles being crazy I wanted something that held its value and was reliable and landed on the Tacoma! It is a 2014 4x4 double cab TSS (rare trim level from a Toyota outfitters in the gulf states). I could not be happier with my decision. I’ve already been down a few rabbit holes in this community and looking forward to be an active member. I work for a pick up truck accessories company so a lift and some mods are definitely in the future.

    cheers!

Believe it or not is actually a “real” trim package. It’s offered by a Toyota outfitter in the gulf states. “Toyota Sport Series” Before I bought it I actually found out that the TSS was legit when I saw quite a few threads on here about it! It’s just strictly an appearance package, rims, running boards, few other things!

Lucky you got one used from the Dirty Deep South and not from MI. Get yourself some undercoating. Toyotas love to rust.

she spent the first four in Louisiana, then two in Ohio and the last two here in Michigan. The TSS running boards had a decent amount of rust on it. Those came off today haha. But the frame looks pretty dang good! I’ll have to look into undercoating. Any recommendations? DYI, get it professionally done?

Do NOT undercoat in the traditional sense. Cosmoline, Wool Wax, Fluid Film are all superior choices. Lot's of threads around here about those.

Most importantly to know is the frames rot from the inside out. So cleaning and treating the boxed areas is critical to the frames future. Especially since it's been 3 years in salt world already.
